Improving Access Without Adding Risk

Health services carry two pressures at once: demand that keeps rising, and data that cannot be handled casually. New technology has to improve access for patients and staff without introducing clinical, privacy or compliance risk.

That is why our health work starts with a concept and a working prototype, validated with the people who will actually use it - so you can see the service before committing to a build.

What We Do for Health Providers

From first workshop to validated prototype - and, once the case is proven, through to production.

Service and booking design that improves access without adding load to your call centre.

Requirements engineering and solution architecture, validated with real users before a line of code.

Private AI over clinical, contract and policy documents, running inside infrastructure you control.

Integration across providers and platforms without forcing every organisation onto one system.

Compliance and data sovereignty designed in from the start, not retrofitted.

A Smarter, More Accessible Breast-Screening Booking Experience

A structured proof of concept for a digital booking service - validated with clients and call-centre staff before committing to a large technology implementation.

Challenge

Appointments could only be made by telephone, limiting access for clients and loading the call centre - but a full build was too big a commitment to make on assumption.

Solution

Digit Concept - requirements engineering, solution architecture, UI/UX design and proof of concept

We mapped the existing booking journey with stakeholders and prospective users, defined actors and use cases, explored compliance and authentication requirements, and worked out how a new service could run alongside existing systems.

The selected "smart start" concept paired an online booking application for eligible members of the public with an optimised booking application for call-centre staff, on a foundation that could support future services without making them a requirement of the first release. BreastScreen SA received a validated product concept and a clickable prototype rather than an abstract proposal.

This engagement delivered a concept and prototype.

Connecting a Service Network Through a Shared Booking Concept

A user-validated concept for coordinating appointments across DASSA and its NGO partners - connecting disparate calendars instead of forcing everyone onto one system.

Challenge

Demand had grown without a matching increase in staff, and appointment availability sat across providers on different calendars - making it hard to place clients in real time.

Solution

Digit Concept - requirements engineering, solution architecture, UI/UX design and proof of concept

We worked with DASSA stakeholders across the whole service journey, from the first telephone contact through to placement with an appropriate provider, paying particular attention to the practical realities of connecting multiple organisations each with its own processes and calendar technology.

The concept centred on an integrated booking capability through which DASSA employees and participating NGOs could view and coordinate suitable appointments - connecting disparate calendars rather than forcing a single operational system on everyone. DASSA received a user-validated concept, a clickable prototype and a technical direction that could be developed in controlled stages.

This engagement delivered a concept and prototype.

Health services are judged on access and trust. So is the technology behind them.
